The Sedalia Historic Preservation Commission is sponsoring a couple of activities that celebrate Sedalia's rich community history during the month of May.

*Architectural Scavenger Hunt: You'll be hunting for architectural clues around Sedalia during the weeks of May 2, May 9, May 16 and May 23.

Each Monday, five clues will be listed on the City of Sedalia’s Facebook page.

Test your all-about-Sedalia knowledge by finding each item, snapping a picture and sending your pictures to Joleigh Cornine, downtown planner for the City of Sedalia, at

At the end of each week, a winner will be drawn for a $50 gift certificate from one of our local businesses. That’s four chances to win a prize during the month of May.

*Downtown Sedalia Apartment/Loft Tours: Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live downtown? On Saturday, May 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., you will have a chance to explore five different apartments/lofts in downtown Sedalia free of charge while meeting the owners of the buildings.
