City Administrator Kelvin Shaw, a driving force behind Sedalia’s progress over the past decade, has announced his intention to retire in one year.
Council awarded a $1,356,577.66 bid to S&A Equipment and Builders, LLC, for rehabilitation of approximately 100 blocks of sidewalks located in the north center portion of Sedalia.
Beginning on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 a.m., and continuing through 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, the intersection of South Hancock Avenue and East 9th Street will be closed to through traffic.
Sedalia’s Public Works Operations Division will be resurfacing the parking lot located at the northeast corner of East 7th Street and South Ohio Avenue.
Pettis County’s application for a share of revenue from a county-wide half-cent sales tax was presented to representatives of Sedalia, La Monte and Smithton on Wednesday morning at the Pettis County Courthouse, 415 South Ohio.
