Sedalia Blues Favorites Competing in the 29th International Blues Competition in Memphis

Today (Jan. 29) is the start of the 29th Annual International Blues Competition in Memphis.  Hundreds of blues bands, musicians, and singers will be competing to see who the brightest new stars are in the blues Industry.  This year a couple of acts competing (after winning local competitions) are artists that have played around Sedalia, some of them regularly.

Hudspeth-Shinetop will be competing in the duo category.  Mojo Roots out of Columbia will be competing in the band category, and of course, Jason Vivone and The Billy Bats will be competing in the band category as well.

We will try to keep you updated on here and on my show on how they all are doing in this year's IBC.  We wish all of them the best of luck and we can't wait to see them back in town!
