Sedalia Names Hoffman New Community Engagement Director
The City of Sedalia has announced that Jessica Hoffman is the new Community Engagement Director.
In this role, she will lead efforts to strengthen relationships with residents, businesses, and community partners while promoting transparency, collaboration, and economic development.
Jessica brings extensive experience in public relations, community outreach, grant management, strategic marketing, and development. She will oversee city communications, manage public engagement efforts, and support initiatives to attract businesses and visitors to our city. By working closely with city departments, she aims to keep the public informed about key projects, events, and city initiatives.
“We are excited to have Jessica on board,” said Matthew Wirt, Interim City Administrator of Sedalia. “Her expertise in community engagement will be invaluable as we enhance transparency and strengthen connections with our residents and businesses."
Passionate about fostering a strong sense of community, Jessica plans to create meaningful opportunities for dialogue between city officials and residents, launch innovative engagement initiatives, and host interactive community events. Through her work, she hopes to showcase Sedalia’s unique character while ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

“I am honored to serve both the city and the people of Sedalia in this role,” said Jessica Hoffman. “My goal is to listen, learn, and collaborate with residents, businesses, city officials, and community partners to build strong relationships and ensure clear, consistent communication—because every voice matters."
Jessica officially began her role last Monday, and the City of Sedalia looks forward to the positive impact she will bring to our community.
