Songs Stuck In Doug’s Head: You Can Do Magic

It's time for Songs Stuck in Doug's Head. I was up late and started humming when I was reading about a magic show at the Knob Noster Fair. Suddenly the classic America song, 'You Can Do Magic' popped into my head.

The song came out in 1982, when I was the tender age of four years old. You Can Do Magic did reach the top 10 on the album 'View From the Ground' which produced only other hit for America with 'Right Before Your Eyes'

America was one of the surprise bands I saw and enjoyed their show at Pine Knob Theatre in Detroit, when they opened up for the Beach Boys. It was great to see everyone singing along with 'Horse With No Name' but let's bring on the 'Magic'

America will even be playing at Ameristar on Friday, June 12th. Tickets are $55, $45, $40. Doors open at 7p show begins at 8p. Wish I could get up there, if you go let me know. I'd love to hear about the show.
