The Knob Noster School District and Whiteman Elementary held a rededication ceremony last night (Nov. 13) at Whiteman Air Force Base. Brigadier General Thomas Bussiere, Knob Noster School Superintendent Dr. Jaret Tomlinson, and the Knob Noster School Board were there to cut a ribbon to mark the occasion.

Families, friends and supporters gathered at the Mathewson Exhibition Center this morning as 120 soldiers of the 35th Combat Aviation Brigade of the Missouri National Guard returned from Kuwait. Governor Jay Nixon welcomed back the soldiers on behalf of Missouri and was proud of their efforts. Nixon said he appreciates the honor, courage, duty, a love of country that these men and women displayed

The first day of the 110th Missouri State Fair began today with speeches and music from the Marshall Municipal Band in front of the Fire Station on the North Side of the Fairgrounds. A large crowd endured the heat, as Mark Wolfe, the Missouri State Fair Director lead off with a speech that recognized the success and longevity of the fair.
