So parents, be on the lookout.  You can prevent some bad stuff going down pretty easily with just a watchful eye.  Heck, you might even want to tell the older kids about some of these signs - not to scare them, but to let them tell themselves when it's probably a good idea to come inside and get warm.

Maybe these will give you and the kids something fun to do...AFTER  you rebuild your snowman.  Oh, and if you run out of snow, you can always come to my house to get some more! Free of charge, even!

When you live in the Midwest, there's always the possibility that weather will throw you a surprise on or around Thanksgiving. One of the Farmer's Almanacs has just shared their prediction for what the Land of Lincoln can expect once we get to the season when all the turkeys are nervous.

It's almost like a game show in Missouri. It's the guessing game where everybody makes a prediction about when the state will get its first real snowfall. Farmer's Almanac thinks it knows the answer about whether or not Missouri will get that snow on or before Thanksgiving in their brand new outlook.

Some pockets in Missouri have seen nearly record amounts of rainfall already.

It's not exactly breaking news that all of Missouri was hot on Tuesday, August 27. However, there was one place in the state that is now confirmed to have tied a 143-year-old high temperature record.
