The Best TV Shows of 2018 (So Far!)
Propelled by the splashy, internet-kindling arrival of teen noir Riverdale, the unparalleled series-capping third season of HBO's woefully under-watched Leftovers, and the prescient, patriarchy-bashing first run of Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale, 2017 did well to establish itself as a tough act to follow, at least where television is concerned.
But six months in, 2018 has thus far proved a promising successor. Whether via the take-no-prisoners politics of Samantha Bee, the wet-eyed sentimentalism of Netflix's Queer Eye reboot, or the pure-hearted nostalgia of Everything Sucks!, this year has already gifted TV obsessives with plenty of worthwhile binge material, and a versatile one to boot: The standouts range all the way from zany comedies to heavy, emotionally charged dramas.
Amid the saturated landscape of Peak TV, there's plenty left to come, but below, check out PopCrush's 10 favorite shows so far.
