The Most Powerful And Devastating Website To Help In The Right Ways

Gentle Reader, I know it's Wednesday and that is a hard day for a lot of people. It can be hard to be patient not just with your co-workers, but with yourself.

What On Earth Are You Talking About?

Well, geez, okay, let's get to it, then. Do you remember a site called "The Nicest Place On the Internet"? Probably not. But anyway, the creator of the Nicest Place does. It's meant to be a modern day "reboot" if you will.

The site has been offline for a few years now, but in light of current events and widespread self-isolation, I felt it valuable to restore this website, replicated from its latest source code from archive.org, and updated slightly for modern web browsers.

Will You Tell Me What It Is, Already?

The site is generated by users from all over the world. People send in a short video of themselves giving a hug. Then, the site plays them for you on a continuous loop, and you can either listen to the song embedded there, or mute it. You can see where the people are from and read their names, just for an extra connection.  And you can submit yourself to the hug list, too!

According to studies, women who hug their partner more frequently have lower blood pressure.  Physical closeness can release hormones that help you feel calmer.  So if you can't get that hug to help right this second..... try the next best thing.
