Where the Fireworks Are Loud and the Suspenders Are Historically Accurate
Gentle Reader, I am sure you're all kinds of excited for the 4th of July weekend this year. I mean, most of us get a three day weekend! It's a special occasion!
So after all the fun on Friday the 4th...... then what? Is it just another boring weekend spent pulling carpet tacks out of the back bedroom?

No. Your fun does not need to stop. And your learning doesn't need to stop either. In fact, after the Sedalia Festivities, why not check out what's going on in Warsaw this weekend?
Okay, I'll Bite. What's up?
So much.
During our Independence Day Celebration on July 5th, we will be having an ice cream social to raise funds that will go towards maintenance and improvements on the Powell - Crabtree cabin. This cabin is one of our historic buildings that were moved on site. It is a mid-1800's cabin that has a link to Jesse James! You will have to attend our event to find out about that!
The Ice Cream Social starts at 2:00. The cost is free, but they are taking free-will donations. They'll also have a historic reading of the Declaration of Independence with Brad Hanson at the Trailside Theater at 1:00
And the spelling bee!
And yes, that's in ANOTHER old time cabin, so the whole thing looks awesome. And that's just what the Kaysinger Bluff Pioneer Heritage Association has planned.
Wait, There's More?
YES. The rest of it is... more western. Literally!
Hold onto your cowboy hats (and your turtles), because Warsaw Jubilee Days is stampeding back into town June 4–7, 2025 — and this year’s theme is "Wild, Wild West Edition"! That means more boots, more buckles, and just enough yeehaw to legally classify as a rodeo (but without the livestock insurance).
They’ve got a carnival, a parade with more floats than your Aunt Dee Dee's pool party, Turtle races — because apparently Warsaw has a need for speed, just... slower, A 5K run, for those who enjoy mild suffering in the name of health and commemorative T-shirts, and of course, live music, food vendors, and family-friendly fun that'll have your kids asleep by 8 (you’re welcome). No big, right.
It's gonna be fun, it's gonna be affordable, and you don't want to miss it.
Jubillingly yours,
Behka
