We are officially kicking off our "Animal of the Week" blog post with a dog that has a very special place in my heart. His name is Clyde and he is from Lincoln, MO. I heard about Clyde from another co-worker, and when I heard that Clyde's life was going to be cut short, I knew I had to act fast. So I did the only thing I knew best at that moment and I went to the airwaves. A few months ago I went on air and I talked about Clyde's story.

Clyde is a 6-7 year-old black lab who's owner tragically passed away. Clyde was then given to the city of Warsaw and then to a local foster home. Clyde's foster mama was a very sweet women who has just a few too many animals to care for. Clyde's foster mama was going to give Clyde to a shelter which would more than likely put CLyde to sleep due to age and breed. The same day that I went on the air to tell Clyde's story, Ms. Belinda called my station and said that she wanted to adopt Clyde. That same day Clyde was suppose to go to a kill shelter, he instead went to his forever home with Belinda and her other dogs. Clyde is now thriving.

Belinda wrote me and said the following: " Hi Lexy, it's Belinda and this is Clyde that I rescued from Lincoln. He is doing great with us and is loosing weight every week (he was pretty heavy). He gets walked everyday by my neighbor girl, and loves it! He has 3 brothers and 1 sister. Thanks again for helping find his new forever home, Clyde says thank you too!"
