Moberly Man Charged with Second Degree Murder
On Friday, July 6, the Moberly Police Department requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control investigate a shooting which occurred in the 900 block of East Logan Street, in Moberly.
Upon law enforcement’s arrival, authorities located a female subject deceased at the residence with an apparent gunshot injury. The deceased female was identified as Bailey E. Scott, 23, of Moberly.
On Thursday, July 10 Division of Drug and Crime Control investigators arrested David K. Heyde, 68, of Moberly.
Heyde was transported to the Randolph County Jail. Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie Luntsford formally charged Heyde with Second Degree Murder. He is being held without bond.
Note: The charge for which the above individual was arrested is a mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of this charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
