I have lofty goals for this series.  Basically, what I hope is that I try something a little different every week in the kitchen, I share it with you, and you try it at home.

Theoretically, you can report back what you think.  It could be, "I've never had this before" or "I used less garlic" or "It was too hard" or whatever you think!

I've been trying to find and use leaner meats lately.  More fish, more chicken.  Not eliminating pork and red meat, but just.... subbing it out a little.   And that's what brought be back to Tuna Steaks.  Basically, if you've never had tuna outside of a can, it's pretty much what it sounds like.  It's just a big piece of tuna that hasn't been cut down.  So it does look a bit different from mackerel or cod or whatever it is you have sometimes.

Let's try em!

The Tuna Steak Bake

Full disclosure, I did not buy anything specifically for this dinner. I used what I had in the cabinets already.  But you know how it is, you could go out and get all the necessary stuff beforehand.  If you're some fancy pants who has a well stocked pantry, well, good for you!  Me, I have the basics, but I probably need to add a little bit here and there.

But, overall, this was great, not too much trouble Tuesday night dinner.  NJ votes "Yes" for "Should we try this again?"  and that's good enough for me.

What do you think?  Have you tried any different cuts of meat lately?
