This is gonna be a Stash with a blast from the past.

The early 1990s were an interesting time.  Lots of neon, backwards clothing, large hats, and a love for all things Garbage Pail Kids.  In this time, record labels were trying to market hip-hop and rap music that was more  mainstream and "normal," or if you want to read into it, "nonthreatening."  In that time, there were also some very interesting, thought provoking groups coming out, like De La Soul,  A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots and others.  Today on the Stash, I thought we'd reach back for a second to find a song that was huge on the radio and on music television then.

I, in my younger and more formative years, owned not one, but TWO PM Dawn cassette tapes.  My parents thought I was a hippie freak, until they also saw I had KD Lang tape, at which point they thought I was a lesbian.  Who knows what they thought when they saw the Juliet Letters tape.

Purple orchestra nerd?  That one might be accurate, actually.

Anyway, enjoy your step back into the '90s and here's hoping reality gives you a call sometime so you can catch back up.

Dawnily yours,
Behka
