
‘Burg Parks & Rec Can Help Keep the Kids Busy Thanksgiving Week
Warrensburg Parks & Recreation is great at having parents' backs. Especially during times when the kiddos are out of school and Mom and Dad have to work. 'Burg Parks & Rec Can Help Keep the Kids Busy Thanksgiving Week That includes Thanksgiving when the kiddos are out of school.
Warrensburg Parks & Recreation is offering Thanksgiving Break Camp in the three days leading up to Thanksgiving and Black Friday. That would be Monday, November 22 - Wednesday, November 24 from 8:00 AM -5:00 PM CST.
Campers will swim, burn off excess energy playing gym games, watch some movies, play Mario Cart, do some crafting, and more. Parks and recreation will also feed the campers breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
This isn't the first time Warrensburg Parks & Recreation has tried to help parents when their working. They also offered a comprehensive summer camp for kids this past year. And they also hold regularly scheduled Kids Night In events where kids come to the Community Center to play while mom and or dad get a break.
There are two more Kids Night In events scheduled for 2021. One on Friday, November 19. And one on Friday, December 17. The cost of attending is $20 per child. More information on Kids Night In events can be found here.
As far as the Thanksgiving Break Camp goes, the cost is $30 a day, or $80 for all three days. The camp is open to children between the ages of kindergarten through seventh grade. The deadline to register your kids for Thanksgiving Break Camp is Monday, November 15.
Sorry moms and dads, if you're looking to get the kids out from underfoot on Black Friday, you're on your own. Then again, while I thought Black Friday shopping with my Mom was torture. I have fonder memories of the experience now that I'm an adult. So I say, go make some memories.
