Concordia Man Killed after Vehicle Strikes Tree, Fence

An 80-year old Concordia man was killed Tuesday afternoon in Johnson County after his truck impacted a tree and a fence.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at 2:15, on MO-23 just north of NW 175th Road.

According to the online crash report, a 2009 Honda Ridgeline crossed the center line and traveled off the roadway, striking a tree and a fence.

The driver, Edward E. Vaughn, was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

The Knob Noster Police Department assisted the Patrol at the scene.
