Admittedly, I don't watch a ton of baseball. I get it can be exciting, though!

But my mother did, and she would have gotten a kick out of this. If the Cubs were playing the Royals, that is.  They're not, but let's move on with it.

Anyway, there's a big event coming up for Royals fans in Central Missouri! Especially for those of us who are alums of UCM. Or, as it was back in my day, CMSU.

Basically, UCM is going to be totally Bringing The Red up to Kauffman Stadium for MIAA day on Saturday, April 26th. Why that day? well, partially because it's MIAA day, but also because the Royals will playing the Astros, who are owned by a dude who graduated from UCM in 1976. Crazy coinkidink, right?

Of course, it'll be a big night for school pride, and I'm sure you'll see fellow mules everywhere. But they're gonna have some goodies, as well, if you get there early enough to snatch one up. They'll have a UCM bucket hat for the first 1500 people, and a Moustakas bobblehead to the first 20k. Here's the deets from UCM:

UCM will host a tailgate in Lot J for those who purchased a UCM ticket to the game. From 4 to 5:30 p.m., visitors can hang out with President Roger Best and Mo the Mule, take advantage of fun photo opportunities and get an official UCM Cookie. Fans wearing UCM gear (preferably red) at the tailgate will receive an exclusive light-up Mule pin, while supplies last.

As a bonus, anyone who shows their MIAA Day at the K ticket will receive free entry to the Mules baseball game at 1 p.m. April 26 at Crane Stadium. I'm not sure how that works. I mean... aren't they on the same day? Well, I guess you can go to one and then the other if you're a big sports fan.  I mean, it does take a lot of people to lift up the Gatorade.
