Harrisonville Teen Killed in Cass County Accident

A 14-year-old Harrisonville boy is dead following an accident just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday in Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 1980 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by 17-year-old Kane Lightcap of Harrisonville, ran off the roadway at Elm Street and Halsey Street, then struck a pedestrian and a house.

The pedestrian, 14-year-old Corey Turner of Harrisonville, was pronounced dead at Cass Regional Medical Center.
