Last weekend was a tough one for the Boulevard Drive-In Theatre. Some technical issues with their projector scuttled their plans to be open the first weekend of May, yet one week later it was business as usual at the iconic Kansas City drive-in. Patrons even got a little bit of a treat when they settled in to watch their films last weekend.

According to posts on their Facebook page, The Boulevard Drive-In had to cancel its screenings of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" and "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" on Saturday, May 6 because of problems with their projector.

It turns out, the problem was a bad power supply. By the middle of last week, they had it fixed and tested and screenings went on as planned last weekend.

Customers of the drive-in were also treated to a freshly painted huge movie screen. During their downtime, the theater power washed, scraped, primed, and painted their ginormous screen. It certainly will enhance their patrons' viewing experience.
