I’ve Been Angry All Day

So yesterday I was off from work, under the weather. I hate missing work, not because I'm a workoholic but because when I get back there is a ton of stuff to catch up on..even gone just one day. So this morning I come dredging in around 4:30am as always. My desk is cluttered(more than usual) with papers, notes etc. you know stuff to do. I look through them, read my email, do a little show prep and just as I'm about to leave my desk for the control room to start my show, I notice a black box with a sticky note on it that says Denny Perkins. Well, even though its early I know that's my name. So now I'm all excited, what can be in the box I thought to myself. The box was about 6in by 6in and a inch deep. Could it be some new blues cd's, that would make me happy, or how about a new clock? I don't need a new clock but it looked like a clock box. It had no other significant markings, not who it was from, not a label nor a company logo. I know what you are thinking..open the damned box already!! Hey this is my story and my blog and I think I get paid by the word so relax I'm getting to it, but first I must get coffee so hold on.......ok, now I pick up the box, are you feeling the anticipation? Wouldn't you know it the stupid box was empty..huh why would someone put a empty box with my name on it on my desk? It's 5am nobody else here to ask, how anticlimactic..but then I look deeper in the box and a HUGE smile came to my face!! HOT DAMN BUBBLE WRAP WOOHOOO!!
So I'm thinking what can I do on the air with this? So I patiently wait for Doug to come in to do the news and was going to unleash the bubble wrap on him.
And at the moment of truth I grab the bubble wrap went to popping and nothing..no wait NOTHING are you kidding me DEFECTIVE BUBBLE WRAP!!! WTH? O this did not just happen, empty box, a desk full of crap to do and DEFECTIVE BUBBLE WRAP ...this is just more than I can stand I think to myself, I want to go home back to bed..BUT the internet saves me again, Thank You Al Gore! play along if you want
