I will warn you ahead of time that this is the sort of topic that will almost certainly make you feel the need to itch. It's new data that reveals St. Louis, Missouri is climbing the list of the worst bed bug cities in the United States.

I think that bed bugs are one of those topics that are very high on most people's nightmare fuel list. They can not just ruin a vacation, but be a problem that returns home with you making your home an infestation. This new ranking for the worst bed bug cities across America was just shared by World Atlas. Based on their methodology, these problem places for bed bugs is based on the most recent full year of data from pest control company Orkin.

When it comes to the number of bed bug reports in each city across America, St. Louis has now climbed into the top 20 as the 18th worst city in America for these gnarly pests. I'll take this a step further. You can go to a site called Bed Bug Reports and search specifically for St. Louis or any other city in America to see where the newest cases are. The number of bed bug reports for St. Louis are terrifying and it's not just hotels or motels either. I saw one person who said they have found bed bugs crawling across the ceiling even in their kitchen. Ew. 

There are many on Reddit who have shared horror stories of how bed bugs found at a motel they were staying in ended up in their luggage and then became a problem in their homes. This is one problem you definitely don't want to have. Ever.
