Road Work and Ramp Closures: What Drivers On MO 350 Need to Know
One of the most popular ways to get into the Kansas City area from West Central Missouri is by taking Highway 50 to Missouri 350. That route, however, could be a bit of a character builder over the next couple of months, as motorists can expect lane and ramp closures through the middle of September.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following closures for pavement repair work on MO Route 350.
Starting Thursday, August 29, crews will close the left turn lane from westbound MO 350 to Laurel Avenue. Motorists can still turn left onto Laurel Avenue using the through lane. There will be an alternative traffic pattern in this area. This closure will be effective daily from approximately 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM CDT.
From now through mid-September, traffic in both directions will be reduced to one lane on MO 350 at Noland Road. Eastbound traffic will shift to one lane of westbound MO 350 just before the Noland Road intersection, while westbound traffic will use the other lane. One lane of MO 350 will remain open in each direction.
Additionally, the onramp from Blue Ridge Cutoff to westbound MO 350 will remain closed until mid-September, and the shoulder on northbound 63rd Street from MO 350 to Interstate 435 will be closed.
The Missouri Department of Transportation says it is part of a larger project to complete pavement repairs, resurfacing work, and roadway improvements on Missouri 350.
