Foreigner will return to the Missouri State Fair grandstand on the opening night of the fair, Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 7:30.

Foreigner is out on their Farewell Tour that launched last summer and the band's goal is to get to all the cities the band played since its reformation in 2004. It's no surprise that Foreigner wanted to come back and play our fair one more time, and it's no surprise the Missouri State Fair wanted them to play again.

Why? The Foreigner / Night Ranger show at the Missouri State Fair in 2019 was about as perfect as possible. The grandstand was packed, the rock n roll loud, and everyone in attendance had a great time. If the Missouri State Fair grandstand had doors, the bands would have blown them off their hinges.

To date, it's one of my all-time favorite Missouri State Fair shows, and I expect their performance this summer to be every bit as good.

Opening for Foreigner will be acclaimed singer/songwriter Maggie Rose, who has a single out called "Underestimate Me". Maggie's music is a mix of rock, soul, Americana, folk, and funk and she's been hailed for her passionate individualism.

Tickets on the track are priced at $60 and grandstand seats are priced at $50. Concert tickets do not include fair admission tickets.

This year's grandstand show tickets go on sale Tuesday, May 21, through Etix and convenience charges will apply to all tickets. The Missouri State Fair box office will open at noon on July 1, 2024, for walk-up sales, provided tickets remain for the shows. All concert seats are reserved.

I spoke with Jeff Pilson, Foreigner's bassist and spokesperson about his career and what people can expect from Foreigner before the band's 2019 appearance at the Missouri State Fair, that interview is below.
