Slow Down! Ongoing Construction At Higginsville Junction
The Missouri Department of Transportation is constructing intersection improvements at Higginsville Junction at Interstate 70 and Highway 13.
According to the Higginsville Police Department Facebook Page, MoDOT is installing traffic signals and lighting on Highway 13 at Interstate 70 in Higginsville. The eastbound off-ramp will also be widened. This work will require shoulder closures and short-term lane closures on Highway 13. Any construction work requiring closures of travel lanes will occur at night, and all work is weather permitting.
Next week, MoDOT will also be doing pavement repair work on Highway 13 between Business 13 and Interstate 70. , a flagging operation will occur daily from approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM CDT.
In addition to this work being performed by MoDOT, Higginsville is working on several street improvement projects throughout town during August.
MoDOT asks motorists to slow down and pay attention while driving through work zones. They remind motorists that every work zone is different, and some may be moving or short-term.
