
Suspect Charged With Rape In St. Louis May Have More Victims
St. Louis County Police are sharing more information regarding a suspect recently charged with three counts of rape. Police say five victims have come forward, and they believe there may be more victims nationwide.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, two weeks ago, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office filed charges on suspect Yahya Maly, 28, of the 100 block of Log Trail Drive in Ballwin, Missouri, for two counts of Rape or Attempted Rape First Degree, seven counts of Rape Second Degree, two counts of Kidnapping First Degree, and two counts of Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy First Degree.
Authorities report he is being held on $500,000 cash only, no 10% bond.
Police and Prosecutors Believe There May Be Other Victims
Investigators have put together the timeline regarding Yahya Maly's locations of residency to locate other victims. Police say Maly stayed at or resided in the following locations during the listed dates:
- Henrico County, Virginia, from 2013 to 2021.
- Chicago, Illinois, from January 12, 2022 to February 12, 2022.
- Tucson, Arizona, from December 3, 2022 to January 17, 2023.
- Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, from January 27, 2023 to February 25, 2023
Authorities believe Maly met several of his victims using dating apps. He used the name "John" on various apps.
