Sedalia Man Arrested After Attempting To Flee From Police on a Bicycle
In the early morning hours of May 6, Sedalia Police performed a subject check on a person operating their bicycle into oncoming traffic near South Osage Avenue and West 16th Street.
The subject failed to stop operating his bicycle, even after commands from Officers to stop. The subject attempted to flee on his bicycle, but was apprehended and placed in handcuffs.
A check through Dispatch showed he had two active Pettis County warrants for Failure to Appear on two charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and one charge of Driving While Revoked with a total cash-only bond of $500.
Floyd E. Flippin Jr., 56, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on his warrants. A state charge of Resisting Arrest was submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.
