Sedalia Woman Injured When Car Strikes Deer In Pettis County
A Sedalia woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred when the vehicle she was in struck a deer early Monday morning in Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2013 Buick Enclave driven by 48-year-old Alma F. Deitas of Knob Noster, was on US 50, just west of Allen Road at 12:35 a.m., when the vehicle struck a deer crossing the road.
A passenger in the Buick, 46-year-old Caroline Meseky of Sedalia, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment. She was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The Buick was totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol.
