Studio 702 Now Open For Business In Downtown Sedalia
A new business has opened in downtown Sedalia at 702 South Ohio, and the name of it is easy to remember.
Studio 702's owner is Hannah Hartung, and she is happy to spread the word about her new business, located in the space formerly occupied by Loli's Candy Shop.
“It's a newer idea of mine. However, being a photography owner, I understood the challenges that photographers face when trying to find a location and trying to battle Missouri's weather, which is ever-changing. So I knew an indoor space that was professional and clean was in line with what I wanted eventually,” Hartung told KSIS.
“But then, the space became available and I said 'let's go for it.'' she recalled.
Studio 702 LLC, which also has an upstairs area for consultation as well as space to do hair and makeup, storage, and occupies over 700 square feet.
Hartung hopes her research will pay off in the long run.
“I knew there were a lot of photographers in the Sedalia region. And I knew a lot of them did not have studios, so know that I could provide a space for local photographers to come in and bring their clients and have something that is very professional – that was my goal and vision,” Hartung said.
Her website is https://www.studio702sedalia.com/ and lists all the services provided as well as current rates. She is also on Facebook and Instagram.
You may book Hartung's studio anytime between 7 a.m., and 10 p.m., seven days a week. Her studio may also be rented as an event space. Up to 39 people can be accommodated, with eight tables and 35 chairs. In addition, there is a 65-inch TV monitor and private bathroom. "This is the perfect space for small gatherings," she said, such as a baby shower, bridal shower or graduation party.
Hannah is a photographer herself and can often be seen downtown taking photos for Main Streets Sedalia.
As her website states:
"When I'm not behind the lens, you will find me at State Fair Community College, serving as the Workforce Development Manager in The LearningForce. You might also find me frequenting my favorite taproom in Sedalia, MO—The Local Tap. Kendall (aka my significant other, handyman, craft beer server at The Local Tap, and best friend) and I live above the studio, so we love to walk through downtown Sedalia and visit our neighboring local businesses."
You can book online or contact Hannah via phone at (660) 591-5337.
