I had the opportunity to spent New Year's Eve with Trampled Under Foot, and after the show, I hung out with Nick. While we were ringing in the New Year, he mentioned that he would like for me to hear parts of the new Trampled CD. Well, low and behold, a couple of weeks later, I received it.

I'm going to continue my series on the Roots and Blues Festival in Columbia.  The festival is almost here with the shows starting on Friday, September 21.   So, in my opinion I have saved the best for last.  I have had a a great summer of live music, been a lot of places and seen a lot of great acts, including blues, rock and country.  Having said all of that, what I haven't seen is anyone better

So I have tried to avoid talking about turning 50.  I wanted no big deal made of it,  just wanted to get through it.  As a matter of fact on my birthday I didn't do anything.  I just sat around with my kids and told them about the old days, you know, walking to school 20 miles up hill both ways, etc.
