The Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital and the Columbia Vet Center have teamed up to provide area Veterans with services right here in Sedalia thanks to their Mobile Vet Center.

The Mobile Vet Center is a 37-foot-long mobile resource unit that offers various services for Veterans. One service is enrollment for eligible Veterans. Other services include counseling for post-traumatic stress disorder and military sexual trauma. Other resources available to Veterans include grief, marriage, and family counseling. The MVC can also help veterans with VA benefits information and can also provide suicide prevention referrals.

The Mobile Vet Center is equipped with confidential counseling space to extend access to VA services for Veterans, service members, and their families. It's designed primarily to help those living in rural areas like West Central Missouri. The Mobile Vet Center also provides readjustment counseling and information resources to assist Veterans transitioning from military to civilian life.
