Support Veterans This July At Missouri’s State Parks
Gentle Reader, I'm getting a little serious today. So keep in mind this is pretty important to all of us, not just me in my little corner of the world.
Missouri State Parks, part of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, is showing extra support for veterans this July through its Round Up program. And they can't do it without you.
When visiting a state park, guests can choose to “round up” their purchases to the nearest dollar. So when you rent something, buy a souvenir, whatever, you can choose to round up. That small amount goes directly to special programs and events that honor and engage Missouri’s veterans....like the popular Hero Deer Hunts.
Usually, the extra change supports the specific park where the purchase is made. But during July, all Round Up donations across the state will go toward veteran-focused efforts! You can read more about those here.
This initiative gives park visitors a simple way to give back. Every rounded-up dollar helps create meaningful outdoor experiences for the people who have served our country. And you don't have to break the bank to do it. Plus I'm sure a lot of people would like to give quietly. This would be perfect.
Missouri State Parks aims to be a place for connection and reflection, and this program is one way to say thank you to veterans in a lasting and visible way.
