At 20, Wynonna Judd and her mother Naomi released their first record as the Judds, "Why Not Me." Eight years later, Wynonna released her first solo record, the self-titled, "Wynonna." After 34 albums between her solo career and the Judds and countless Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, and Grammy Awards, Wynonna brings her Greatest Hits tour to Sedalia, to open the Missouri State Fair, on Thursday night, August 7, 2025.

Having grown up as America's favorite musical daughter, fans have watched her mature into a woman who embraces a life filled with peaks, valleys, thrills, and disappointment. These realities informed her five-time platinum album "Wynonna" and her three-time platinum record "Tell My Why." These records spoke to country music fans and gave a voice to every young adult getting into their own lives.

Wynonna has grown into a once-in-a-generation voice that will be a must-see show at the Missouri State Fair. No doubt the grandstand will be rockin' that night as she plays hits like "No One Else On Earth," "Tell Me Why," "She Is His Only Need," "Girls With Guitars," and "I Saw The Light."

Whose Opening For Wynonna?

Providing support for Wynonna that evening will be the husband and wife duo of Michael and Tanya Trotter under the name of The War and Treaty. The duo, founded in 2014, has emerged as one of the more electrifying acts in American music.

Last year they were nominated for Grammy awards in the Best New Artist and Best American Roots song category. Additionally, they've been nominated for Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards two years in a row and for Vocal Duo of the Year at the ACM Awards.

CBS Mornings profiled the couple's love story and journey in music a few weeks ago. I didn't know much about them, but I'll be in my seat early to see this one based on what I'm hearing.

This is the first grandstand show on the opening night of the Missouri State Fair, Thursday, August 7, 2025. Presale tickets for code holders for Wynonna Judd, and all State Fair tickets, go on sale Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 9:00 AM CDT through Etix. Public on sale for all State Fair tickets starts Tuesday, May 20 at 9:00 AM through Etix.

Ticket prices for Wynonna range from $45 to $60 depending on whether you want seats on the track or in the grandstand. Convenience charges apply to all tickets.
