Kids, today I thought we'd take a break from the Christmas music and holiday cheer and give you something a little bit foreign.

This song is by a French man named Charles Aznavour (and no, my high school French has not helped me to pronounce that).  He wrote and released it in the mid sixties.  It's a song about looking back on the past and the bittersweet memories that go along with that. He's singing it in French, but there are English subtitles underneath it so that you know what it is that he's saying.

It's a staple song for him, one of those signature songs, not unlike Frank Sinatra's "My Way."  Only this one is, you know, French and talking about the rebellious bohemian youth that Mr Unpronounceable name had.  So, enjoy and maybe think of your own crazy, rebellious youth (or, if you're like me, your boring/honor roll/church group youth).

Frenchily yours,

Behka
