Closing Bar B Que Pit Stop Will Offer Limited Menu in Marshall
One of the things a lot of Sedalians have been talking about over the past week has been that Bar B Que Pit Stop, in the parking lot of Westlake's Ace, is closing. A lot are also making plans to stop in and enjoy their great bar-b-que one last time. There is some good news, you might be able to experience their bar-b-que in the future.
Bar B Que Pit Stop posted on Facebook that its last day of business will be Saturday, January 14, 2023. In the comments section on their Facebook page, many are sharing memories and well wishes:
"When we moved to Sedalia, we'd tell friends that the best food in town was served out of converted mobile homes: Lucky Chinese and Bar B Que Pit Stop. Will definitely stop in at least one more time. Thanks for great meals over the years." - Bob Satnan
"Best ribs in KC. We get a lot of out-of-town visitors at my work, and they all ask where to go in KC for BBQ... I always say "well, lucky you... The best BBQ in KC is not too far from here... You see there is this little shack in an Ace parking lot.. . And... Gonna miss the Pit Stop! Fond memories of the Bar B Que joint." - Jim Sutton
"Many years of great bbq. I remember the old white truck/ purple truck when I worked at the car wash in high school and college. Was my main source of food for many lunches and dinners. Thank you for the great food for so many years!! You and your family will be missed!" - Brandon Grable
That said in the comments of the post, Bar B Que Pit Stop says Charles will be offering a limited menu of his Bar B Que in Marshall and they'll post more information like days and times he'll be offering it on the Facebook page.
If you want to enjoy their food one last time before closing, Bar B Que Pit Stop will be open from 11:00 AM -7:00 PM Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
The Sedalia Democrat reported that the business is closing because it has been forced from its location for re-development of that part of the parking lot.
