Burglary Suspect Arrested by Sedalia Police
Officers with the Sedalia Police Department’s Uniformed Patrol Division developed leads into a suspect who is believed to be linked to multiple burglaries and thefts which occurred over the last several weeks.
Officers were able to establish probable cause to arrest the suspect for Burglary and Stealing.
And on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., officers responded to 1213 South Carr and located the suspect, 26-year-old Bennett T. Neely, and placed him under arrest without incident.
Officers obtained consent from the homeowner to conduct a search, and officers subsequently located multiple items that police suspect were taken from the victims. Those items were recovered and secured for processing.
Neely was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
Neely now faces charges of 2nd Degree Burglary and Stealing. Further investigation will be conducted by the CIB (Criminal Investigations Bureau).
