Everyone Calm Down, The Taco Truck Has A New Home
Well, okay, maybe this should be just ME calming down.
You've seen all sorts of new food trucks here in Sedalia and the surrounding areas. They're great and a lot of them are very convenient. But let me tell you of the first food truck I regularly frequented.
It was a dark time. I was working somewhere that wasn't here at the stations, and while I was trying my best, I just wasn't very good. Try as I might, I just wasn't cutting the mustard. Of course, we could debate some of the reasons why I wasn't cutting it, but you get it. It was frustrating. And in that job, lunch time was important but often neglected. You just didn't walk away from the job in the process of getting anything done. The only way you could go to to lunch was if you were not in fact actively doing something. And nearby, within walking distance.... the taco truck.
You know how it is. When you're frustrated and hungry and broke, sometimes the cheap tacos are the best tacos in the world. And these are tasty, of course. I mean, we're so lucky here in West Central Missouri to have lots of options when it comes to great Mexican food. But this one little truck had a special place in my cold, dead heart at the time.

In the last couple of of years, they've gotten more mobile - and most recently, they had to move. The furniture store is no more, and has ceased to be. It is bereft of life and has met his maker. So that meant our truck, Tacos El Arca, had to move.
And oh my goodness, you guys. The amount of texts and messages I've gotten on social media. Nothing like, panicked, but everyone was just asking me where the taco truck went. WELL, I've got the answer, guys.
Where Did They Move?
Yep, they're going to be over by the Fire Station now. So not that far away, but it might be a bit of a change for you while you're off on your lunch break. So yes, the truck is back, and yes, the asada is the best, okay. We all agree. Especially the Fire Department. You know those dudes are gonna be MACKING DOWN on some tacos on the regular.
Tacoingly yours,
Behka
