Now that I'm officially a married old bitty, I can't explain how great it is to never have to date anybody again.  According to a new survey, 50% of people on dating sites say they're embarrassed or ashamed to be there.  Only 18% of people have no problem telling everyone they're doing online dating.  32% only tell close friends and relatives.

There's a pretty good chance HALF your single friends are on Match.com or other dating websites . . . but just aren't telling you.  Because they just KNOW you'll go on there, look at their profile, and laugh.  "YOU like rock climbing?  YOU?  Really?"

According to a new survey, 50% of people on dating sites say they're embarrassed or ashamed to be on there.

Only 18% of people have no problem telling everyone they're doing online dating.  32% only tell close friends and relatives.

But . . . they do it because they recognize its success rate.  74% say they think it's possible to fall in love JUST by exchanging messages over the Internet, and 47% know at least one couple who met online.

And now you at least know one:  Did you know that Boyfriendo/Husbando and I met on Match?  It's true.  And now we're married and life is peachy.  REAL TALK.  Somehow two wierdos found each other and keep getting weirder.

We live in an era where people can be celebrated for looking, acting, and being different . . .And that mentality has made the transition to dating too.  A new study found the key to being attractive in dating today is . . . being WEIRD.

The researchers found that people who had their own sense of style, unique personalities, or offbeat careers or hobbies had MORE dating success than people who stuck to more traditional life choices . . . or who tried to hide their quirks.

They say your best move in online dating is to demonstrate your unique personality.  And when you actually go out with someone, make sure you don't hold back or try to act "normal." So there you have it, in black and whiteA study found the key to being attractive in dating today is to be weird.  Which explains the popularity of the new dating site, Quirk-eHarmony.

Strangely yours,

Behka
