Sedalia Police Foil Burglary In Progress
Sedalia Police responded to a burglary in progress at Ingram Auto Spa car wash just after 1:00 AM CDT. Two were arrested and formal charges are being requested. This is according to a Sedalia Police Department press release posted on Facebook this morning.
Officers responded to the car wash at 2618 E. Broadway Boulevard about a burglary in progress. Management observed a suspect on camera trying to force entry into the building using a pry bar. Upon arrival, officers located two suspects who were quickly detained without incident. Damage to the business was estimated to be over $760.
Police also reviewed surveillance video, which showed one suspect acting as a lookout while the other attempted to break in. Officers also found evidence that the suspects tried to hide near the business. Found were a pair of gloves, one pry par, and a mask.
Logan N. Madison, 28, of Lincoln, and Zakary J. Seaman, 23, of Warrensburg, were arrested, and the following formal charges are being requested: Burglary 2nd Degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Property Damage 1st Degree.
