The top dog breed in Missouri has changed over the years, but one breed in particular is quickly gaining popularity. You might think Missouri’s top dogs would be a golden retriever, labradoodle, or a mixed breed, but for 2025, the French Bulldog has taken the top spot as Missouri’s favorite breed, a breed I hope to have one day.

They have a unique temperament, need a little extra care, and have some of the best characteristics of any dog breed out there. From their small stature to their big personalities, French Bulldogs are the perfect breed for families. I can’t wait to have one of my own someday.

They’re so popular now that if you have a French Bulldog, you’ll want to keep a close eye on them, as their value has increased, and they have, unfortunately, become a common target for theft.
