Shots Fired Call Leads To Guns, Drugs, and an Arrest
Just before 1:00 AM CDT, Clinton Police responded to a shots fired call at 104 South Third Street. The call led to an arrest and the seizure of guns, drugs, paraphernalia, and a homemade explosive.
Officers responded to the scene after a 911 caller, who identified himself as Dakota Haak, advised he had accidentally shot his girlfriend. Upon their arrival, officers gave Haak's girlfriend care, and she was transported to Kansas City Research Medical Center in critical condition.
After rendering care, Clinton Police obtained search warrants for the residence and the blood of Mr. Haak. The warrants were executed, and guns, drugs, paraphernalia, and a homemade explosive were taken from the residence. Mr. Haak was arrested and released pending further investigation and lab test results.
Clinton Police say the homemade explosive was deactivated at a remote location.
