Strawberries in Missouri & Illinois Recalled Due to Hepatitis A
The good news is that reportedly no one has gotten sick because of this yet. The bad news is there is a recall of sliced strawberries in both Missouri and Illinois stores due to possible contamination with Hepatitis A.
The FDA issued this bulletin detailing the strawberry recall that affects Great Value brands in Walmart stores in both Missouri and Illinois along with numerous other states. Here are the products affected by the recall according to the Food and Drug Administration:
- Walmart: Great Value Sliced Strawberries, Great Value Mixed Fruit, and Great Value Antioxidant Blend distributed to select Walmart stores in AR, AZ, CA, CO, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MT, ND, NE, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SD, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, and WY from January 24th, 2023 to June 8th, 2023
