Swimming in the Summertime

I live in an apartment complex.  I don't have a pool in my backyard, but some of my family and a couple friends do.

My mom used to always set up a pool in our backyard, and there were many a nice summer afternoon spent in it.  My mom used to just slather on some baby oil and tan back there in the pool for hours.

Now my sister has a similar type of above ground pool in the backyard, and she and her family have already been in it several times. I haven't been out in the pool yet this summer, but I do remember going to Liberty Pool so many times as a kid one summer that my hair changed color from light brown to blonde.

What about you? Do you have a pool in your backyard, or a kiddie pool? Do you go to the public pools, or do you go to a private pool? Do you prefer going and swimming in a lake or river?
