Kids, today I attempted to wedge my feet into the ever impressive shoes of Denny Perkins and took over for the Morning Show.  As of right now, I'm not sure if it's 100% permanent, but I hope it will be.  I thought maybe we could take a second and talk about that, and then maybe we'll all have an idea of what to expect.

Well, the first show was today.  I normally do the evening show from 7-12, and after dark I admit that I wierded up the playlist quite a bit.  I took the "whatever" part of the show and stretched it out.  For the morning gig, I thought I'd better make sure to change it up, but maybe not that extreme.  For example,  maybe I'll play "Abacab" instead of "Invisible Touch" by Genesis.  Maybe "Psycho Killer" will be played instead of "Burning Down the House" by Talking Heads.  I put in some songs I'm sure you know but haven't heard in a while, and I put in some that I think you might not have known.  But, it wasn't anything too extreme, I don't think.

In terms of what we talk about, I think we'll cover just about the same topics.  But, I do plan on adding Birthday announcements (be sure to let us know if you have one you want us to list, or an anniversary), and also a little more interaction with you, the listener.  We'll still talk about movies, we'll still goof around about the events of the day, and we'll still learn something new about music.

I'm a nerd, so I'm sure there will be times when I have a random fact about a singer or band I'll have to share, or even just a story that's amusing.  I might not have the encyclopedic knowledge that Denny has, but I'm getting there.

I know a lot of you really liked Denny and really enjoyed his morning show.  I know a lot of you will miss him, and some of you might not like me at all. But I hope you give me a chance, and listen in.  If nothing else, give me a month or so.  If you don't laugh, if you don't hum along, and if you don't bring up a factoid I shared later, well, I'll understand.

Here's to a good morning,

Behka
