If you like the beer brewed by St. Louis' Schlafly, are a patron of the arts, and are looking for some inside fun this weekend, you may want to head to St. Louis.

Years ago, I was in St. Louis for a radio convention with a fellow manager and my then-boss. Some of my boss's motivations for taking us to this convention were related to his desire to spend time with us. He might have wanted to hang around with some of his extraordinary employees while quaffing many beers between and after the day's sessions. I came away from that convention liking a couple of new beers, one of which was brewed by St. Louis' Schlafly.

This weekend, Schlafly, the original craft brewery in St. Louis, is hosting its first-ever Art Indisde Festival from Friday, January 31 - Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Schlafly Tap Room in Midtown.

They're billing their free indoor art fair as a celebration of St. Louis' vibrant art scene, live music, and community. They will feature local artists and their works, performers, and even live local music, allowing patrons to support local charities like St. Louis Blues Warrior Hockey, The Muse Room, and  Artists First.

In addition to checking out artwork from over 40 St. Louis area artists, guests can watch skilled tattoo artists from three local shops work throughout the weekend. Musical artists The Teenage Dirtbags, AYDAMIN, Steve Ewing Duo, Number One Sons, Middle-Class Fashion, The 45, Steven Woolley, and The Winks are scheduled to perform. Artists will mingle with guests on Saturday at 7:00 PM.

The event is free to attend, and beer and food will be available for purchase. It will be held at the Schlafly Tap Room, 2100 Locust Street, St. Louis, MO 63103. For more information, visit the Schlafly website
