Court Rules In Favor of Pettis County in City of Sedalia Lawsuit
The County of Pettis is pleased to announce that the court has ruled in favor of the County in the case of City of Sedalia v. Bill Taylor, et al (Case No. 23JO-CC00152).
The City of Sedalia failed to make a submissible case with substantial evidence before the court.
The ruling, delivered by Judge Lett on July 9, 2024, affirms the County's position and upholds the actions and decisions made by County of Pettis officials. This case has been a significant matter for the County of Pettis, and we are gratified by the court's decision.
This decision reaffirms the County’s commitment to serving all of the citizens of Pettis County and initiating productive conversations with city leadership. The County Commission will maintain an open invitation for the Mayor, City Council, and City Administrator of Sedalia to meet at any time. Together we must move forward on behalf of the constituents we serve.
