Sunday afternoon the Kansas City Chiefs host Cincinnati for a second consecutive tough AFC central matchup for the back to back champs.

It may only be week 2 in the NFL but the Bengals need a win. Expect them to bring the intensity Sunday.

Cincinnati was predicted to finish second in the AFC central, and they could still finish there, (or better) but a loss this week will leave them 0-2.

The Chiefs defense is a level up from what New England brought against the Bengals last week. If the Bengals offensive line isn’t better, it’ll be a long day for Joe Burrow.

Tee Higgins may not be available for Cincy at wide receiver Sunday leaving Burrow short on top targets. The Chiefs were susceptible to tight end check downs last week and Isaiah Likely had a really good day for Baltimore. Look for the Bengals to draw up some plays to see if Steve Spagnuolo has corrected those issues.

On offense the Chiefs will be without wide out Hollywood Brown who is out for the next few months with a sternoclavicular injury and will have surgery. Kansas City still has plenty of firepower. Look for Isaiah Pacheco to get more carries and have more success this week versus the Bengals. Patrick Mahomes has an abundance of options for pass catchers in Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, JuJu Smith-Schuster and others. Pay attention to how Andy Reid works Semaje Perine into his game plan too.

Kansas City is a 3.5 point favorite versus Cincinnati.

Pregame starts at 2:00p on 979KICK-FM with the kickoff at 3:25p Sunday afternoon
