The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday evening for the AFC Championship and the Lamar Hunt trophy. Mix 92.3 will have all the action from Westwood One!

Westwood One's coverage of the AFC Championship will air on Mix 92.3 starting at 5:30 PM CST. Announcers for the game will be Kevin Harlan, Devin McCourty, and Derek Rackley.

If you're wondering why Mix 92.3 can't give you the call from the Chiefs Radio Network, it's an NFL thing. They partner with Westwood One for a slate of national games each season, usually a Sunday game, and the Monday, Thursday, and Sunday night football matchups, along with holiday and double and triple headers at the end of the season heading into the playoffs.

The other part of Westwood One's deal is that they have exclusive rights to playoff games outside the team's home market and flagship station. So radio network affiliates like us, if we want to run the games, need to partner with Westwood One to do that.

The good news is that Westwood One's NFL and NCAA coverage is among radio's most well-produced and executed sports broadcasts today. As a casual football fan and NCAA tournament follower, I have enjoyed listening to their broadcasts, and I'm confident you'll enjoy them as well.

Additionally, Mix 92.3 will broadcast Westwood One's coverage of  Super Bowl LIX from New Orleans, beginning at 1:00 PM CST on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Later this spring, Sedalia's News Leader KSIS 1050 will broadcast the NCAA Men's Final Four and National Championship game.
