This Is The Greatest Xmas Tree That Ever Actually Nerded

Alright everyone, time to step down and hear a tale. Well, it's not a tale of a desert isle or anything.  But it is the Story of the Christmas Tree.

Or, if you'd rather, our Christmas Tree.

This fake tree has been in our family since my Dad got tired of real trees somewhere in the eighties.  So this one is faded, old, and probably not that sturdy anymore.  But, NJ and I decided to get one more use out of it before we get a new one next year.  It's been almost forty years, it's time.

So we decided we were going to go out with a bang!  Not only we were going to decorate the bejeebus out of it, but it was going to have every nerdy ornament we have from the two of us.  Combining Sports, Star Wars, K-Pop, Owls, The Beatles, The Simpons, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings....  yeah.  This one is nerdy.

But you know what?  It's us, and I like that.  No, I love it.  It's a little janky, it's not too secure, but it's ours. And it represents us, and that's what I like about it best, I think.  This tree is showing the two of us joined together, melded, melted, and made into something new and better.
