What Helpful Tricks Do You Know To Overcome Draft?
Well I don't have to tell ya'll that it's been pretty dang cold lately.
I mean, I even resorted to wearing my Unicorn Onesie of Eternal Warmth, which is only brought out in emergencies*.
And while I'm sure it would be great to just crank up the thermostat to get warm on those days, we can't all do that. I know I like to keep my meter at around 70 or 71 so my heating bill doesn't get too high. After all, that's what blankets and tea kettles and unicorn onesies are for, right? You get a little cold, you don't run to the thermostat first, you throw on a sweater first. You know?
But after a while when you've done all that, I'm sure there are.... a couple places here and there. You know what I mean. Like, if you sit in the same spot too long you feel that little trickle of cold.
So...what do YOU do? In year's past, I've used kits that put plastic over the windows, and that helped. New windows was a big boon, but there are still a few little spots, mostly around the doors. So I have one of these draft stopper things.
And it works well, you just have to know when someone is coming over so you can move it. And the other door, since I sit kind of near it, has a similar sitch.

That's a blanket quilt thing, it's very helpful but it's also kind of bulky. But it works against the 'Under the Door' thing.
But the big question here is, what do YOU do? What are some of your more creative ways of keeping out the cold?
Chillingly yours,
Behka
*Yes, I have a warm unicorn onesie with a little horn on the hoodie part. It has pockets.
