Hey there everyone! In my quest to do more home cooking (and to get better at it), I've decided to a "bake" a week.

You know, something to share with you that either is something I've never done before, or something I've adapted to suit me, or something that's just fun.  This one is a mix of the latter two.  I've basically taken a chocolate chip cookie recipe and Frankensteined it to suit me.

If you will.

It's not super far off of a basic regular cookie recipe.  Flour, butter, sugar, eggs, you get it. To me, the big difference is the kind of sugar I'm using.  Instead of regular white sugar or a mixture of white sugar and brown sugar, I pretty much go all dark brown sugar.

The Easy Cookies

So yeah, it's not a family recipe handed down from the ages or anything. It's just, you know, my idea.  I think if I make it again, I'll shy away from so much chocolate or candy.  I think it was just a scosh bit too much. Like, if I was going to put in two kinds of candy, I probably should have stuck to one kind of chocolate.

But then, that's just my opinion, obviously. You might want to put on some flakes of salt, or make 'em with regular M&Ms, or with Reece's Pieces, or whatever it is you do at your house.

But these were heckin easy, and after three days.... they're almost gone.  So take that how you will if you want to try 'em.

Bakingly yours,

Behka
